An Unexpected Visit

This morning I woke up to an early phone call from Annie saying that she was in town and wanted to come visit me. These are the pictures that we took after out little chat that we had. Vance was obviously quite intrigued by the flamingo and kept exclaiming that it bit him! I had to get some pictures with him and the flamingo b/c it seems that every kid that comes over to our dorm loves our dear little friend Froo Froo. Samantha had some family over who brought their kids and Denmark and Addie came over too when Liza was here for her visit, and they were all exstatic about Froo Froo. It's pretty funny!

Heart Attack Me Captain!!

This Monday and Tuesday were two of our across the dorm neighbors' birthdays so me and Suz decided to heart attack their door. We decorated their door, hurried up and took a picture, knocked, ran to our dorm, and watched from the peep hole. I felt very sneeky! It was fun! Here's the picture we took...it was so great!

BYU vs. Air Force (Homecoming Game)

What can I say? It was a good game....the Cougars played amazing and WON! Woo hoo! Yes, that is my school! Cougars ROCK! Me, Suzanne, Jessa, and Jessa's roomate Robyn have season tickets right next to each other. It's great fun!

College Dorm Life

Me and Suzanne (my friends from back home and my roomate) decided after we got here and everything was all set up and put away in our new dorm, that our apartment was pretty plain. So being the college students we are, with very few dollars, decided to go down to the dollar store and buy some decor to spice things up a bit. These are just some of the pictures that we took after we proudly admired our newly decorated living room and kitchen. It's not much but we enjoyed doing it. I almost like it better b/c I can admire the work that we put into it b/c the dollar store isn't exactly the IKEA of Utah. It took us much time and energy to figure out what we could throw together with all the stuff that we saw there at the dollar store and this is what we came up with. We even made our own picaso finger painting. I'm sure it will be worth a fortune some day b/c IT IS THAT GOOD! Our other roomate Sam (who is featured in some of the pictures) helped us create that beautiful masterpiece. Also you will see Suzanne with our wonderful vegetable platter that we snaged at the ward party (it was a leftover!)

Utah Trip with ma' Girls!!

After graduation, me and my girlfriends took a grand ol' road trip to Utah to go suprise our long lost friend Jessa (she moved to Utah 2 years previous) at her graduation. I didn't post any pictures of us at her graduation but I'll tell you that she was quite surprised and quite happy to see us. It was great! She told us at one point that the only thing that was getting her though high school was knowing that she would get to go to college and hang out with us again. Us girls have been bosom friends (that's for all you Anne of Green Gable fans out there) since the beginning of high school, and it has stayed that way even when Jessa moved to Utah. The pictures I did post are just a section of the time that we spent with her. We went to a community pool up there in her neighborhood and just hung out and took some pretty cute pictures (I think anyways) by all the beautiful scenery next to the pool. Jessa's the one with red hair. Now that I'm in college, I get to see Jessa whenever I want b/c she does just live a couple buildings away which is pretty sweet!

What Happens at 12:30 in the Morning Stays at 12:30 in the Morning

As you can see from these pictures, me and my roomate Christi had one wild pillow fight early this morning/late last night. She claims that I started it and I claim that see started it, so we don't really know how it started, but it was really fun! This is only one of the few escapdes that happen to us late at night. Something that we like to do every night before we go to bed is ask one question to each other such as "What's your favorite color?" or "If you can live anywhere, where would you live?" all while I'm doing my stretching exercises. It's great fun!

LIGHT's Branson, Missouri Trip

This trip was so much fun! It's the one that we just took in April! It was the bomb.com, but it was really short! It was our longest trip that we took this season. All the trips that we took this year were really short. Last year when we went to Branson we were there for more than a week! It was awesome! Well anyways...this group is so cool b/c we get to go to Branson and tour a lot of the church history cites. It's such an awesoome spirit there, especially when your with this group! I didn't post really any church history cite pictures that we went to besides the Liberty Jail one that I posted a few weeks ago. A lot of the reason is b/c we didn't get to go to as many this year. Last year it was like church history tour crazy! I love'd it! The ones I posted were my favorite ones. Mostly b/c I love'd the time that we spent where we were in the pictures. They're good times! The first one, is at a cheese shop (random...I know!) in the middle of no where. It was awesome b/c they had a ton of cheese samples! I didn't even need to buy the cheese, I could just sample it! So I got good and plenty instead! And then the middle pictures are at a restaurant called Lamberts. We went there last year. It's cool b/c they throw rolls at you! The waiters will walk in with a big tray of rolls and yell "Rolls!!" and everyone who wants one throws their hand up in the air and yells "Roll!" and then the waiters toss one to you. And if you drop it, who cares you just ask for another one! The last picture was right after our concert choir competition where we sang a lot of our fireside music! It's so cool to sing our fireside music in front of this audience b/c most the people there aren't LDS and the ones who are you can tell that they are when they come up to you and slap your hand and say "That was awesome!". It's funny too b/c the people who weren't LDS came up to me and the group and said "Wow! That was so cool! I can't even tell you what I felt when you were singing! It just felt different you know?" and then that's when I'm like to myself "Yep I know exactly what that's like...it's called the spirit!!" It was a cool experience!
